Samantha Creighton, Community Fundraiser, Northern Ireland

Samantha Creighton, Community Fundraiser, Northern IrelandI chose to work for the MS Society because to me, a job to me is not just a career but a vocation.

I really felt I would have the scope to use my skills to make a real difference here.

My job involves organising events, meeting and networking with new contacts, general administration, attending outside events, organising photo calls and cheque presentations. The good part of my job is the variety – it’s interesting and I get to meet a wide range of people.

I suppose the other side of my job is the planning and investment to make an event work, which can be spending a lot of time putting together lists and databases, but every aspect is necessary.

I make a difference because the income we generate is an investment into the future of services, resources and opportunities to support people living with MS in Northern Ireland.
